Clean Truck Victory in Connecticut
Seizing the opportunity to clean up transportation in the state, UCS created an analysis on the benefits of cleaner trucks and cars and advocated with coalition partners to pass the Connecticut Clean Air Act—now law.

A court in the Netherlands—which drew on UCS expertise—ordered Royal Dutch Shell to reduce its carbon emissions. This is the first time a company—much less a fossil fuel company—has been legally required to do so.
